The objective of this kitchen remodel was to maintain and enhance the character of this historical home, refresh the look and charm of the custom long leaf pine cabinets, and improve the functionality of the space. The refrigerator and oven locations were switched to maximize the flow from the back yard, and a microwave drawer and refrigerator drawers were added to a brand new custom island out of matching long leaf pine. Sleek new appliances and crisp white Kohler cast iron sinks and quartz countertops juxtapose the existing vintage mint range and stunning historically inspired Perrin and Rowe unlacquered brass plumbing fixtures. All of the cabinets received a fresh finish and adorned with unlacquered brass hardware that act like pieces of jewelry as a finishing touch to the space.
